So we are now once again depending very much on donations. And I do understand why none has come the last month or so, but hopefully soon the new Tekkit will be out and the donations will be back.

As a part of preparations for the epicsness that will happen soon (hopefully), we have improved some things. One of them being that we got a dedicated ip now! Meaning you have to use: play.dudescast.com instead of the old

Once again, not exactly the news we are hoping to see from the tecknic guys. But now the client is compatibility with Java 1.6….

This should help all of you that have merged their minecraft account with a mojang account. Since the technic launcher will now take emails as a username, yeah just a small fix, but hopefully a new Tekkit will be out soon.

As you all properly already know the new version of Technic is out, and as feared forestry has been taken out, though on the contrary RedPower2 is still in the pack, meaning that will properly be the same for Tekkit

Also now that Technic is out of the way the team can hopefully focus on getting Tekkit up to snuff

I am going to make server maintenance tomorrow (March the 23th), I am not certain if I will get around all the corrupted chunks (I believe two have been corrupted), but I will be removing all the chunk loaders, since we believe those are the ones making the server lagging atm (we have 126 of them :O ).

As you may have noticed there are some quite annoying commercials popping up on the website and forums. That is because we have lost our other way of earning revenue, which is what made the server possible in the first place, though donations have helped cover a lot of the costs as well. Anyways we have lost the income from youtube since they have been removing all our minecraft related videos on our channel, even though they have nearly 100.000 views all together.

So yeah, we are not just money loving assholes that are simply seeking any opportunity to milk money of our community, but we need this tiny revenue as a backup to fond the server and such.

As I am writing this the server just received the double amount of ram of what it had before. Since today, we had the absolute highest count of users on the server!

We had for the longest time wanted to upgrade, but today after seeing the extreme boom in players, and seeing the server couldn’t keep up we decided to upgrade.

Though tragictly it was minutes too late. Just 10min before the final transactions and agreements had been made with beastnode, the server died! And because the server had been so overloaded it seemed our automatic backup system had given up, meaning we had a near 7 hour roll back :S

Hopefully now! This won’t happen again. And now in the aftermaths we have a much better idea of how much ram pr user is needed for Tekkit to run!

Computercraft just broke the server for the 5th time in a row now, and every time making us do a roll back to get the server back up. So I am cutting it out of the pack.

Your client still has it though, and there might still be some computercraft blocks in the game, but they will not work.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I hoped giving people the power of doing a little  lua scripting would be cool. Tragicly reality caught up and made sure we can’t have nice stuff
